In support of Habitat for Humanity Greater Ottawa, Law Build 2018 presents an exciting evening of music at Babylon Club.
Starting off the night at 8:00 p.m. sharp will be the group Herding Cats, made up of five lawyers from the Ottawa office of the law firm Gowling WLG. Herding Cats are Daniel Boivin (vocals), Nick Boivin (bass and vocals), John Wilson (guitar and vocals), Matt Estabrooks (on drums) and Ben Duchesne (on guitar).
At 9:00 p.m., The New Originals will perform their unique blend of rock and blues. These musical innovators include Perley-Robertson LLP lawyers Martin St. Onge (guitar and vocals) and Andrew Lenz (guitar), Nelligan O’Brien Payne LLP lawyers Sean McGee (on keyboards) and Steve Waller (on drums), and Gowling WLG lawyer Ben Duchesne (on bass).
Caveat Rumpus will play at 10:00 p.m. The rockin’ rumpus includes law professor Ian Kerr on drums, DOJ litigation lawyers Kirk Shannon (on keyboards), Max Binnie (vocalist), Mat Johnson (bass) and Youri Tessier-Stall (on trumpet), privacy law lawyer Shaun Brown (on guitar), and communications manager Brenna Baggs (vocalist).
Max Binnie, of Caveat Rumpus, remarks that “these three bands are all lots of fun and guaranteed to rock. Come support a great cause while having a great time!”
100% of proceeds go to support Law Build’s goal of raising $100,000 for Habitat GO.
